Meet this year’s spooky Vendors

  • Allisya Seefeldt

Allisya Seefeldt is a visual artist with a main focus in linocut printmaking. Allisya draws inspiration for printmaking from their love of traditional tattoo culture and early animated cartoons to create whimsical flash like designs. In a world full of responsibility and seriousness Allisya values making art that’s representational of childlike wonder both visually and with a hands on approach. Each design is individually hand carved on a piece of linoleum and then printed (kind of like making a giant stamp) onto paper or other textiles. Allisya’s goal in art is to have as much fun as possible and to bring a sense of nostalgia to the viewer through cartoony characterization.

  • D.C. Greschner

D.C. Greschner is a self-published sci-fi author from Victoria, BC. Her debut novel, Out of Tune, is a delightful blend of witty social commentary, absurdist humour, and imaginative storytelling reminiscent of Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett.

The story follows absent-minded senior citizen, Linda Pumpernickel, as she leaves behind her lackluster life on Earth to join a group of alien environmentalists on a mission to save the universe from going out of tune—a phenomenon projected to cause a cosmic climate catastrophe. To do so, she must outwit the grotesque and greedy seven-tentacled CEO of the Intergalactic Trade Corporation who will stop at nothing to silence scientists and spread misinformation about universal detuning in order to protect his astronomically profitable business.

Greschner drew upon her education in biology to conjure up unique alien species with bizarre biological traits, such as multi-staged metamorphoses, particularly potent pheromone production, and bodies that exist in a gaseous state. Local artist Helen Burger contributed her talents to illustrate a polymorphic life cycle diagram of one such alien species—she also designed the stunning cover.

I work mainly in traditional media, including graphite and coloured pencil, but have also adapted my work to coloured digital media. I have a passion for the psychology behind monster-making, and use my creations to try to touch a common core of empathy, compassion, and humour. My creatures can be silly, funny, tragic, or unsettling and disturbing- but they are all formed from a common core of human emotion. My monsters have their own agency and narratives, and are more likely to be guides and teachers than villains within my stories, regardless of how they look.

  • Magical Reveries

Victoria Webster’s paintings emerge from childhood memories and music that sings to her soul. Her faith coexists with fantasy elements and fictional characters, creating symbolic, breathtaking escapes from reality. While mythology and fairytales find homes in her work, Victoria stays true to the real world by journaling her emotions and experiences with family, friends, and strangers and documenting them on her canvas. Hans Christian Andersen, Tchaikovsky, and the Grimm Brothers are but a few important inspirations for Victoria’s artwork, helping her to fuse fable with her beliefs without confusing her admirers.

From the early years as an artist, fantasy and sci-fi took her away from difficult situations and travelled with her into adulthood. Victoria’s work has evolved over the years, starting with her love for drawing horses and anime. Today, Victoria is most comfortable using watercolour along with acrylic ink, pencil crayons, embossing powder, and copic markers to bring her visions to life. Self-taught with only some high school classes under her belt, Victoria continues to dabble in other creative hobbies such as doll-making and furniture restoration.

Following the spark of creativity has always been the heart of her process, which has led to a new career as an independent author. Writing under her pen name, an interconnected series of paranormal romance novels is the latest and exciting new direction of her brand. Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the Gilmore Girls enjoy this series, set in a fictional west coast town where supernatural characters learn to fall in love with themselves as much as with their fated mates. Side character shenanigans, found family and small town vibes all create a delightful escape for fans of paranormal and cozy monster romance. These stories are 18+ :)

  • Misty Waters Jewlery *Sunday Only*

I am Misty, a silversmith and creator of handcrafted, whimsical jewelry inspired by the beauty of nature. My designs are rooted in the magic of the forest floor—think delicate mushrooms, wee creatures and hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. Each piece I craft tells a story of connection to the natural world, blending artistry with organic elements.

My process begins with careful observation of nature’s intricate details, which I translate into wearable art using traditional silversmithing techniques. I work with sterling and fine silver, often incorporating natural stones to bring life to my creations. Every piece is lovingly made by hand, ensuring that no two are exactly alike.

What inspires me most is the wonder of nature’s small moments—the shimmer of morning dew, the twist of a vine, or the shape of a leaf. My goal is to bring a touch of that magic to those who wear my jewelry, helping them carry a bit of nature’s beauty with them wherever they go.

    Munbeibi *Saturday Only

Munbeibis are a family of little hand-sculpted ceramic dolls. The Munbeibis come from a fairytale created by Hannah Stinson in 2015 about a group of moon rocks that have grown tired of their cold and rocky moon world, and bravely embark on an adventure to explore the earth, meet new friends, and eat snacks along the way.

Hannah’s ceramic and illustrative work is intended to evoke tenderness, rediscovery of lost childhood whimsies, and the exploration of hidden worlds that exist inside each of us.

"... When the night sky is clear and you look to the Moon, you can almost see the Munbeibis gently floating together, looking back at you. These tiny creatures were born in a sky storm billions of years ago. Like us, they are made of stardust."

  • My Friend Monster

Established in Victoria in 2009, My Friend Monster is my eco-friendly small business where I make one of a kind monster plushies from thrifted wool sweaters. All are handmade with care in my home "Monster Workshop". I treat each new monster as if it were my own, and carefully name each one to suit its burgeoning personality.

Newly moved to Victoria (I’m originally from the Vancouver area) I was eager to start my own creative business, but unsure what what was going to be. I searched around for something to inspire me and I became intrigued with the idea of crafting with upcycled wool sweaters. I was surprised at what came out of my sewing machine - MONSTERS! I fell in love instantly (as did my then 4 year old son), and My Friend Monster was born. Now here we are, some years later, and I am still in love with all things monster.

I design as I sew - no patterns! That way every monster is unique. I love the challenge of creating with different materials and the variety of designs and techniques that have evolved over the years. My first monsters look quite different than the ones I create now.

  • Greek n' Go

At Greek n’ Go, we’re all about bringing the flavors of Greece to Victoria, one delicious meal at a time! Our family-run business is built on love for great food and a passion for sharing it with the community.

We serve up mouthwatering souvlaki, gyros packed with flavor, crispy spanakopita, fresh Greek salads, and tasty vegetarian and gluten-free options. Everything is made fresh, using quality ingredients and recipes passed down through generations. We believe food should be simple, real, and full of flavor—just like in Greece.

What drives us? Seeing people take that first bite and fall in love with Greek food! We put our heart into every dish, from juicy grilled meats to creamy homemade tzatziki. Whether you’ve been enjoying Greek food for years or are trying it for the first time, we promise a meal that’s fresh, satisfying, and made with care.

You can find us at markets, festivals, and events across Vancouver Island. Stop by, say hi, and let us serve you a little taste of Greece—no passport needed!
